Well exposed and sharp enough, but the right half of the frame is wasted, for me. This is a fabulous subject that needs to fill more of the frame. Cropping vertically near the edge of the white structure will balance the composition somewhat.
A vertical orientation suits the subject as it's quite narrow, but the rest is fine as is.

Agreed, in fact I modded this before I read Nick's comment.

It's a shame that there's a guy in an orage suit clambering behind the engine. Other than that though, I reckon that it's pretty good.

Really good idea and love what you have done with it. But i do prefer the MOB by Jester. I also think that the colours need to pop just a little more. If the green was a little bright and stood out a bit more for me it would be a really good picture!

I would also clone out the white distracting marks on the platform in front of the train

wow, thanks for all the comments guys. As a "newbie" to photography I have not got any experience in post editing so this photo is as it came out of the camera so to speak. Am learning quick through just "getting out and doing it" but your comments are taken on board (ha ha pun intended) and hopefully I can post some more even better ones on here.
Cheers to all of you Smile

Full of smoke. You describe it very clear. But, I agree with Bren. Cropping the smoke will make the composition better.
