Colour version of the Steam Railway Driver (last upload was mono).

I prefer the colour versions on this occasion, but it's all subjective Smile

Off to a festival in the morning, so no more uploads .

Have a great weekend,

Gareth Smile

This is also great, but if I must, I choose the mono conversion, Gareth.

This is just wonderful. Very impressive, actually finding myself lost for words to say just how much I like it.

Like the composition and the natural pose of the driver, totally at home in his surroundings...like it a lot

Hi VP!

You are so right this shot deserves awards and I would love to give you a UA, but I'm not a full member of the site and my weekly award already went to a rather lovely kingfisher a few days ago! Considering I'm not a big fan of portraits I hope you realise how much I like this shot! It's just GREAT!

By the way, thanks for the comment on my photo Role Reversal, which was very kind of you (but also know that this comment is nothing to do with paying back the favour).

Alex

Thanks for the lovely comments folks. The oil on hands and hankie make the shot I think.

It is subjective Gareth as, although this another fine version, I prefer the mono.

Very oddly, Gareth, whilst they are both excellent in their own right, I prefer the ..... colour version, the dirt on his hands, cloth, sleeve and cap that brings the whole image into perspective - an old fashion drain driver ... Carol GrinGrinGrin
