A view of the Castle keep from the bottom of the steps leading up to the castle keep, and yes they really are that steep
Thank you all so much for all your C&C's very much appreciated
Thanks for taking the time to look
Wow they do look steep and a lovely shot.
Not just steep, Hugh, but daunting. In earlier times they would have been even more so: just imagine climbing them without the protection of the railings and the steel hawser to haul yourself up to the top. Then imagine having to get up there wearing a suit of armour and carrying a broadsword
Splendid use of the viewpoint, good textures and lovely light.
Wow, what a lovely capture, you would not attempt to climb those in high heels
belting pov hugh wonderful detail and colours a cracker nice one
A super POV Hugh and good detail in the stone work. Cracking composition...John

Excellent Hugh, lovely light and a super composition,
gosh!!! I am out of breath just looking at this great image

A great image, the stairs lead the eye into the image, what awaits in the tower?
An excellent image and great POV!
Great capture and again good POV. You will be running marathons by the time you get to the top of that a few times. A clear day and good shadows and good detail.
It's all been said! Where was this taken? It looks familiar.
