Another fiddle with yesterday's still life setup - modification of the flash behind the decanter will be the next experiment.

This time I took the grid off the light to give a wider spread of light. Not entirely sure if I like it or not Smile

All the components work together and I like the use of the various reds and burgundy.

as a thought - idea (yes it is lonely) does the decanter need more wine it? - thinking the colour of the wine might provide a bit more balance - rather than more to drink Smile

Thanks folks - I'll put this lot away this evening and try something else - maybe Smile

Yep - the decanter could do with a bit more wine - which would mean buying another bottle. It's a rather large decanter (and very heavy) and the contents of that plus the glass is a full bottle. Maybe I'll swing by Tesco sometime and pick up another!

The lighting in v1 is just about perfect to my eye. The balance is very good, and I enjoy seeing the top of the decanter. I like the amount you have in it, it shows that it has been used, and more natural to the setting. Excellent work.

I find the first version much too dark. V2 is more in keeping with my eyesight Wink.....Peter

Lovely still-life. Version 2 for me as it's a little lighter.

Thanks again everyone. Tonight on my laptop V1 looks just fine - tomorrow it might be too dark - such is the excitement of a temperamental laptop screen Smile
