The same flamingo still making sure the feathers are in tip top condition. Many thanks to everyone for c/c and the mods on the "Funky Gibbon" as Scott (Adderwatcher) described him. Really do appreciate the help and advice. Will try and do some catch up today. J.

This stands out really well against the black background but you do need to take more care with the editing. The boundary around the bird is very harsh and blocky &mdash, zoom in and use a softer brush. Having made the background black, it's easy to add a bit more space at the top, too, so he won't bash his head on the frame when he moves. Smile

Good shot. Following on from DRicherby's comments - you have also been a bit aggressive with the lower beak....

Interesting comment about the lower beak (James-C) - if you compare V1 and V2 I haven't done a thing to it!

Nope — some of the beak has gone missing, between his head and where it crosses his body. I've posted a mod with it highlighted in red. (In retrospect, probably not the best choice of colour but I think it's clear enough.)

By the way, I think it's actually a scarlet ibis (Eudocimus ruber). Flamingoes are rather larger and have the characteristic L-shaped beak.

Thanks for the mod - see my mistake now and thanks also for the identity. I wasn't sure when I put flamingo and now you've pointed it out it's obvious. Live and learn and nil desperandum!!
