The Stonethwaite valley, with Eagle Crag prominent centre-left.........OS Map Sheet 90 (Ref 135265)
Many thanks for the great response to 'Quiet Corner'.....glad you liked it !!
A beautiful landscape, Keith, captured in perfect light. Carol

A beautiful capture and lovely scenary.
a cracking image showing us a great landscape.
A beautiful landscape,
A gorgeous landscape Keith. As much as I love my animals I wish I had some amazing views to practise on
A wonderfully observed, composed, exposed and captured landscape with incredible warmth and interest in depth.
Beautiful shot - no place like the Lakes when the sun is out!
Captures the mood of the Lakes really well!
A golden landscape Keith. Lovely picture.
Any chance of including the map
What a wonderful looking place
A really lovely landscape shot
Love it Keith, great image.
Great landscape Keith
I would like to offer some seriously thought out advice................. you need to permanently move away from this area because you are making the rest of us look mediocre.
Yet another fantastic landscape; those beautiful warm colours of the foreground contrasting against the cool snow caps of the background and the whole composition just carries the eye into this image.
I always study your camera settings and when I come to grips with Exposure Compensation, I might just nip up to your neck of the woods and head but you out of the way
What gorgeous colours. Super composition Keith
Barbara....I've added the OS Map No. & Reference co-ordinates.....just look for Stonethwaite !
Brian.....Many thanks for your UA !!.....well appreciated !!
Tish....... !!.....you've made my day !!.
stunning scenery, excellent comp.
A fantastic view and well taken image. - gary
A beautiful scene and one that I would love to hike in.
If we have a trip to the Lakes anytime soon, I think I'll take you in my pocket!
(Niknut in my pocket) - (have you sent he children's programme Grandpa in my pocket?)
You seem to know the very best places for the very best photos.
Which area of the Lake District do you think most picturesque?
Like the colors in this well planned and organized image!
Stunning landscape, Keith. Superb POV, light & colours.
Rugged beauty in this capture.
A lovely landscape in a great light
Beautiful Keith, I love the lead in with the brick wall, fantastic depth and colour...
Beautiful rich colours and great composition. The wall and path lead you right into the picture and on to the snow capped crags. Looks deserted, every time I have walked up this valley it has been so busy.
Kate.....anywhere in the LD is picturesque !!!........though my favourites tend to be Langdales, & Borrowdale, & Brothers Water, & Ulswater, & Wastwater
& Buttermere, & Coniston, &.........er ??......everywhere !!!.
The lead in invites us in, Keith, but what do we see waiting for us? Snow and cold. What a contrast within one image.
Think I'll stay here and admire the view in the sun without the risk of frostbite!
This is so lovely Keith - I am staying at Rosthwaite in the spring - can't wait to see views like this for myself. Beautiful work.
A beautiful landscape shot Keith..Lin
A stunning landscape Keith, love those gorgeous colours
Me and my wife remember this path very well. We veered left from the path and climbed some very steep steps through the woods to the top. My poor wife was knackered!
A great image which brings with it some great memories
Ryan....thanks a lot for your UA !!!.....well appreciated !
I know the climb you mentioned.....leads up to Dock Tarn & on to Watendlath.....one of my favorite walks
but too much for my old pins these days !!
glorious capture,stunning light!!
Excellent landscape, love the composition and rugged scene. Wonderful colours and tones
What a great composition Keith with glorious colours. The mountains are really spectacular.
Top work again, Keith. The landscape is there for all to see but only a few can produce an image like this.
Breathtaking scenery, lovely winter colours and a beautiful picture.
Incredible autumn colour in the view. Awesome landscape capture, Nikput.
Absolutely gorgeous view
A great lead in here
