Nice work. Did you use shadows/highlights or HDR to brighten the image? Whatever, I copied your image and worked on it and the bird stood out much better when I desaturated the background greens. If you want my version just message me with your e-mail address and I will send it to you and delete your e-mail address immediately afterwards.
