The Ridomo Gorge is spectacular; at this point, below the Pigadiotiko bridge, it is about 3 feet wide and is approx 80 ft deep. Not for the claustrophobic! It is quite a trek to get there and you need to lug a tripod along too! Fortunately I had the advantage of local guide and fellow togger Pete Eastland, who lives in the area and has a 4x4 so we could get pretty close without too much yomping.
The geology is amazing and one can only imagine the power of the water required to create this ravine, you wouldn't want to be here in a cloudburst or during the winter that is for sure!
