Happy Friday GrinGrinGrin

V1 - split tone effect
V2 - mono and a crop

the sky was very bright (and white) and this was shot from the hip whilst walking along...despite all that I quite like the end result. SmileSmile

I'm sure it would take a further crop and a straighten but will leave that to you if you want to play around with the shot SmileSmile

I like the effect in V1, it conveys cold, wan winter sun. (Which is much better than no sun at all... )

Love the effect and the shot a lot, Jeff. For reasons of compo sometimes one doesn't want to straighten it, this might be the case with you, perhaps?

The monochrome is stunning, a well observed and captured candid.

I love the colour version. The quality is subdued and interesting. Not sure if I like the half-person on the right, but the rest is brill.

I looked at that, but felt a crop took something away from the picture as a whole...Smile

I like both versions, but more the V1 because of its winter colours. I agree with Slowsong, but if you looked at that and doesn't work, it is ok

Excellent candid shot John and the split tone version suits it admirably.
