Strokkur Geysir at Geysir in Iceland, shot using the IR effect in the Sony A77. Works pretty well although there is a little banding in the sky region. Generally impressed though with the effect.

A rather stunning composition, capturing this extraordinary Geezer, and I can see that it is rather a pouplar tourist trap

It is spectacular but as you say a tourist trap.

There are probably about three tourist traps in Iceland. Gullfoss and Dettifoss the two really big waterfalls and Geysir where the Geysers come from Smile Even though I was there at the end of July almost every where was totally relaxing. One morning I drove for 40 minutes on the main ring road round the island before coming across another vehicle and on many occassions I pulled up on the main road to take photographs without inconveniencing a sole.
