Beautifully captured to highlight the building and statue.
Whether natural or darkened down the b/g works as a lovely contrast to the vibrant greens.

Another great shot Alan I really like the softness of the mist which is the opposite of the saturated bright foreground.

Excellent seeing this applied to a colour image as opposed to your B+W images.

Italy comes to Yorkshire. I'm seeing a gentle humour in the incongruity.
This one has to be colour. That sharp, acid green is wonderful.

A beautifully classic scene.
Is it just me, or does this need a slight tilt to the right?

The mist is delicious in this splendid garden.

Now what would Ansel have thought of this I wonder?

No, Joline, it's level. The lie of the land, also the angles of the waterway cuttings, make it look wonky Smile

Most likely would've been pestering me for a few pointers, Dougie Wink

The statue is perfectly placed and facing towards the building. The saturated colour makes a solid base for the composition as well. The fluorescent grass shouldn't work but it does beautifully.

Excellent shot with great comp and I like how the colours fade from being vibrant in the fg to atmospherically muted as it goes on, nice bit of light on the statue too....works very well
