Looks beautiful. Lovely light, colour, water movement and composition.
I like the colour and tone of the image; I'm more divided about the lower third of the image. Yes, it adds movement and drama to an otherwise quite calm image, but the patterns and flow look too unnatural to me. I think I would be tempted to crop some of the foreground away, and drop the horizon which is too central for me.
On a more emotive level I do feel like I want to walk to the end of that pier and just pause and reflect on the seascape, so for me I'd see this as a calm image which draws me in and way from the hectic reality of life for a moment.
Beautiful image - well taken, looks great to me !
Chris
A lovely scene and nicely composed, Phil, beautiful lighting, gorgeous image.

I wouldn't normally comment on a landscape photo but since I'm in this discussion group thingy I must say that I do like this one. The processing is nicely restrained and the composition is simple and effective. The lighting is subtle and calming and that contrasts with the slight drama of the foreground. I would find it impossible not to put a figure in this
Hmmm...at first I thought the posts on the left were essential to the composition but now I think I'd prefer the shot without them.
Simon.
