That is pure art, Andy. The tn is confusing, but I hope people get past that, it's worth it.

I agree about the thumbnail Graham - thank you for the comment!

Another edition to the top 10 here with this powerful piece, very imposing, the textures and tones are amazing....i love it
Until I read a few comment I didnt realise what Suilven is! full of atmosphere and intrigue an excellent shot
Love the composition and drama here Andy. The fg and that whisp of mist before the mountain is great. The toning generally works well too, but I do have a grumble (at odds with all who have commented so far it would seem). I find that the mountain is somewhat lost in the sky - especially the top and the right hand edge. Whilst I know this is likely to be deliberate (perhaps to emphasise the scale), for me it makes the image a little hard too hard read as a consequence. On first glance you could be forgiven for not realising there is a peaked mountain above the mound in the mid ground - so similar are the tones between them. Is there a way of making these peaks stand out a little more clearly from the sky? Perhaps toning down the processing in the sky a little?
As ever Andy - its just my opinion and I could be speaking a load of old rubbish (as usual) - I mention it only because I know you value constructive criticism.
Rgds,
Adam

Excellent critique Adam and thank you for your honesty - I have uploaded a variant that, hopefully, resolves the issue.
Thanks again.

Excellent processing Andy. Really like the toning which gives the image that 'Alien Landcape' look. The variant improves on an already very good image.

Absolutely stunning image.. Again ![]()
May I be as bold to add some critique lol, I would like to see a composition of v1 and v2, love the lighter sky in v2 but not so keen on the mountain, I think a mix of v1 and 2 would be a masterpiece, but then I am but a mere mortal.
Gez

Really nice work. As already mentioned combining V1 & 2 would make a great Improvement.
If I had to choose just one of the two, it would be V1. I'm not having any problem at all, not even in the thumbnail, deeing exactly what the image is - but I do take the point that it might not quite click with everyone... But for me, I feel that the snowy areas are just too bright in V2? (There's no pleasing some folk...

A mountain as Iconic as this deserves such treatment...fabulous stuff Andy !!
