Good Morning All
I do hope you are all enjoying your Bank Holiday Weekend!
Thank you for your comments on yesterdays upload and for taking the time to write them.
I hope you like todays offering - large is best if you have the time. Thanks for popping by!
That is pure art, Andy. The tn is confusing, but I hope people get past that, it's worth it.
I agree about the thumbnail Graham - thank you for the comment!
The power of a photo wow this has it very powerful image Andy, I had to look several times large to make sure I was seeing all it has to offer
As soon as I saw the title I knew what I was about to look at. This is such an iconic mountain, and this is pure art. LARGE is a must. Awesome.
Another edition to the top 10 here with this powerful piece, very imposing, the textures and tones are amazing....i love it
full of power - an artistic take on this imposing mtn.
Great work indeed.
Until I read a few comment I didnt realise what Suilven is! full of atmosphere and intrigue an excellent shot
One hell of an image ! amazing !
Fantastic shot, it is so powerful, one can feel the greatness of the mountain
fine work andy
Quite something this Andy, very competent piece of digital art, well done.
Very Lord of the Ringish. Superb!
Love the composition and drama here Andy. The fg and that whisp of mist before the mountain is great. The toning generally works well too, but I do have a grumble (at odds with all who have commented so far it would seem). I find that the mountain is somewhat lost in the sky - especially the top and the right hand edge. Whilst I know this is likely to be deliberate (perhaps to emphasise the scale), for me it makes the image a little hard too hard read as a consequence. On first glance you could be forgiven for not realising there is a peaked mountain above the mound in the mid ground - so similar are the tones between them. Is there a way of making these peaks stand out a little more clearly from the sky? Perhaps toning down the processing in the sky a little?
As ever Andy - its just my opinion and I could be speaking a load of old rubbish (as usual) - I mention it only because I know you value constructive criticism.
Excellent critique Adam and thank you for your honesty - I have uploaded a variant that, hopefully, resolves the issue.
ive never seen Suilven look like that!
its a spectacular place can almost visualise Pterodactyl flying around it lol
Excellent processing Andy. Really like the toning which gives the image that 'Alien Landcape' look. The variant improves on an already very good image.

I agree mate
must view large,,,,,,,, this is a powerfull shot, love it.
Absolutely stunning image.. Again
May I be as bold to add some critique lol, I would like to see a composition of v1 and v2, love the lighter sky in v2 but not so keen on the mountain, I think a mix of v1 and 2 would be a masterpiece, but then I am but a mere mortal.
wow breathtaking image , exc large . angie
p.s v1 for me .
Certain give the look and feel of an alien landscape Andy, well worked.
For me the mod is a bit too light and a version between the two would work best.
V2 for me Andy. A stunning capture.
Really nice work. As already mentioned combining V1 & 2 would make a great Improvement.
If I had to choose just one of the two, it would be V1. I'm not having any problem at all, not even in the thumbnail, deeing exactly what the image is - but I do take the point that it might not quite click with everyone... But for me, I feel that the snowy areas are just too bright in V2? (There's no pleasing some folk... ) Carol
Both stunning images, the processing is very creative and something I aspire to so thats why I give it my UA for this week.
Ge22y is spot on, the foreground on V1 is better but the sky on v2 works better. Overall v1 edges it for me.
A mountain as Iconic as this deserves such treatment...fabulous stuff Andy !!
