The lovely flowering hay meadows of the Yorkshire Dales add a real touch of magic during the summer months and I was just compelled to capture some of that magic
when I saw this scene in upper Wharfedale

The old decaying stone barn set in this wild flower meadow makes a beautiful subject, Sam: we really don't see this sort of meadow often enough.
An interesting composition with the barn almost centre frame but somehow it works very well, as it appears to be resting in a hollow in the landform.
