Another image from Tuesdays trip to Swelshill Bank near Stroud to see the second generation adonis blues, I was pleased to see a good number of both these and the challkhill blues on the day of my visit. This shot shows a pair of adonis blue butterflies producing the next generation of butterflies which will fly late next spring. The paler, slightly larger one is the male which was featured in yesterdays upload and the browner, slightly smaller one is the female.

Notice one was paler in colour than the other -
Wondered if they were male and female.
Lovely Natural History lesson.

Beautiful image. My only thought is the back ground. It might be my monitor but maybe a high speed shutter speed but there appears to be excessive noise. PS or Topaz de-noise would assist. I might also be tempted to desaturate the background slightly from its very bright green to something less so, particularly as the subjects are both pale in colour. Regards
