Nice shot, love the rays in the sky.... Slightly wonky horizon though!
I have done a mod for you
First, I have straightened the horizon using the tool for that purpose in Photoshop Elements 4.0. This did mean that I had to crop off some more of the edge though, so this is worth doing before deciding on your final crop.
Next, I used the dodge tool to brighten the highlights, and the burn tool to darken the shadows. I did this to try and improve the contrast a bit and make the colours and light stand out a bit more.
I didn't do noise reduction, but in hindsight that probably would have been another good idea.
All little things, but I hope you think they help!
thanks rachel , i have not got photo shop yet , taking photos is a new found interest , and i am only just getting into it so have loads to learn , the pics on here are all outstanding . need to concentrate on my wonky horizons ! lol
Hope you like the mod. Horizon is straightened, hue's are richer and noise reduction was added also. I think I gave it a unsharp mask hit too; can't remember exactly as I was doing a few other photo's today also.
thanks csuk , cant get over how totally sharper and the colours compared to the original .
