Thought for a complete change, I would upload an image that's had no processing whatsoever. This was shot on a brief afternoon trip to Clevedon yesterday. Bright sunshine, a band on the pier and the Matthew moored in the bay.

See what you think...

Love it, it conveys so much and the light coming through the parasol is superb.

Many thanks for all the kind comments on this one, I'm not usually one for saying this, but I think the larger version is possibly worth a look. Cheers all ~ Dave

Fine comp Dave with the two figures and the brolly forming a strong triangular shape. Good backlighting as well and not a bit of PSJP in sight.

A super image Dave - the brolly breaking up the sky with it's pattern is a good contrast to the shadow areas. Makes a good tight composition.
I think you could have made this work in one of your Square modes too.
Brian.

Thanks everyone, for the very positive feedback on this one. I was beginning to doubt myself after yesterdays calamity! However, faith has been restored - cheers.

I think you could be right Brian, however my aim here was to take a shot straight out of the camera without any fiddling and just float it and see. As always though, I appreciate the comments.

Thanks again, Dave

Happy to be your # 30 for this lovely image, Patti

Thanks to Ollie and Patti for their additonal words and for the RC. Anyone who has looked though my stuff, will know I'm not much for people pictures, but this one just came upon me by accident as I was walking down the slipway to shoot the Matthew in the bay. I'm delighted with the result and your responses. Many thanks... Dave
