prefer v3 out of the 3
Me too Gwynn but I wanted to play
Of course I meant textures
V1 all the way for me.......nice playing
Yup, V1 for me too - V3 (the original, presumably?) is ... well, a bit boring (sorry). It's a lovely vase of sunflowers, on a table, with a background cloth. Nice, and very well done and lit, but not necessarily inspiring.
V2 is much stronger, but the layering (and texturising ) is a bit strong and overpowering.
V1, though, brings all the elements together nicely and makes for a lovely image.
Thanks for the comments.
I've only really used LR4 although I've had Elements 11 for some time. This was something new to me and I am keen to explore E11 more.
A couple of things learned:
1 Should have put some blu tack under the jug to straighten. It was bought at a junk shop for £2 but has got has got a wonky bottom ( who hasn't?). By the time I noticed when processing everything had been tidied away.
2 Use the right coloured cloth. The velvet cloth was bright purple. I coloured it using the smart brush. But the colour is still reflected on the pewter. Cloned it a little but still there.
The more prominent texture is my own picture of a reed warbler in some branches taken at Meresands Wood. The other (canvas effect ) was a free download.
