Here's one from a while back that I didn't get around to posting. Taken in February after freezing rain formed a verglas that encased Stanage Edge in ice. You had to be very careful where you placed your feet as the rocks were lethal!
Like the soft early morning light and good details in the foreground Andy, guess it was a cold morning.
Despite the warm colours starting to show, I bet it must have been freezing up there.
A fine frosty landscape.
Thanks Rick & Ronnie. It was a two pairs of trousers morning - freezing doesn't do it justice! Nearly didn't get up there as I kept sliding back down!
Wow, you got up early for that one then - well worth it - super.
Remember that morning well, as was on Burbage with Steve, Paul and Harsh. You did much better than me to capture the conditions, and you're right, was a bit tricky underfoot!
Love the warm glow, a contradiction to the ice.
Beautiful light. Well done
Lovely work Andy, ... It looked a bit like this when we flew over at dawn this morning
A lovely scene with the sun coming up and the warm glow on the rocks.........Sandy
A very nice result.
Lovely detail and colours, it looks sooooooooooo cold!
Lovely image Andy....you can feel the cold!!
Rare to see it like this, looks like rain followed by a quick freeze.....LOL at the tags!
A first class image with real impact and appeal.
great light in this, lovely capture.
The warm light belies the tiny icicles fringing the boulders, quite beautiful Andy.
The warm light and the texture of the rock is what makes this work for me andy
Love the detailed gritstone composition and colour, fantastic shot mate.
