Probably one of my favourite shots in recent weeks. This is taken using one 1000w strobe with barn doors, shot through the double glass doors of my boudoir suite, at a low angle to simulate sunrise/sunset.

Hey Danny, thanks for your lighting info - do like your new studio setup. I think this is great especially because of the angle its shot at - I don’t know about you but this type of shot is very difficult to get right - for 18mm there is not to much distortion - did you crop it much?
Cheers Wayne

Very good angles and light and shadow use. You made light work of the difficult shot. Love the floor in the image, set the mood just right

Thanks Paul.

Wayne, I was using the 18 - 50mm F2.8, which is a little unorthodox for me as I usually stick to prime lenses in the studio, but I was wandering around shooting from all sorts of angles, so can't remember the exact focal length. Have changed it in the details now.

Thanks Lourens. The hardest part of the shot was just getting her face lit well without any hotspots, but the doors have frosted glass and nets in front, so it's dissipated the light well. That floor was cheap as chips from Homebase!

Cheers Hoffy.

Nice one mate I think that material picking up the light gives it that interesting twist and the toning suits the lighting set up.
