A lovely sunset, but i find it has too much black, i would have taken a third off the bottom to make it more of a letter box shape, it makes the image much stronger.

Sorry Sad

Some might argue the dark are in the bottom right side is wasted space but for me it balances the image. You expect it to be there and it is. I know you would have had limited time to capture the light at that location at that time but it is a place you could spend hours at. Both are strong favourites but if pushed I prefer the panoramic version....slightly more. Regards Russell

I have to agree with Russell on this. v2 splits the image in two parts, one with the sun and sea and the other with the rock. v1 although having a mass of dark, it pulls the right side under the sun for a better balance. They do both have their merits and I do like them both but the balance of v1 wins it for me.

Another lovely image Kate.

I agree with this.

I like both versions for different reasons.

V1. Give me more of a feel for the actual place. I could be there, and I like images that make me feel that.
V2. Has a bit more impact from a purely photographic point of view. To me If you wanted a Logo image as a header for a photographic website it would be perfect.
