Another sunset from Firostefani in Santorini.
Thank you all for your interest in these images
from my workshop holiday.
Many thanks for votes yesterday for Shimmering Sea
and to martinjp for User Award.
Great sunset captured and contre-jour.
A lovely sunset, but i find it has too much black, i would have taken a third off the bottom to make it more of a letter box shape, it makes the image much stronger.
I am running out of things to say[stunning]
Fantastic comp kate wonderful colour and light a stunner nice one
fantastic and beautiful image,Kate,love it,
Wonderful colour and light Kate, great image..Lin
This is ao beautiful Kate I love the mist and the layers of mountain ranges and the beautiful colours of the sunset

I do agree with this comment Kate, try it and upload.
Another fabulous sunset Kate. Lovely strong and warm colours
I do prefer the letterbox format Kate.
A good post !!
V2 is definitely the version for me Kate, excellent atmosphere in this capture!
V.2 is the winner for me, Kate, perfectly captured and presented. Carol
Brilliant sunset with V2 taking my vote today
Some might argue the dark are in the bottom right side is wasted space but for me it balances the image. You expect it to be there and it is. I know you would have had limited time to capture the light at that location at that time but it is a place you could spend hours at. Both are strong favourites but if pushed I prefer the panoramic version....slightly more. Regards Russell
I have to agree with Russell on this. v2 splits the image in two parts, one with the sun and sea and the other with the rock. v1 although having a mass of dark, it pulls the right side under the sun for a better balance. They do both have their merits and I do like them both but the balance of v1 wins it for me.
I prefer the panoramic photo v2 personally, I think this format show the mistyness in the background. Well done.
good day Kate as it happens i like V1 v2 is ok but it has to be V1 nice work
Beautiful sunset, like the mist in the background.
I like the mist element you have captured in V1... Harmonises the pic or me
Another lovely image Kate.

I agree with this.
I like both versions for different reasons.
V1. Give me more of a feel for the actual place. I could be there, and I like images that make me feel that.
V2. Has a bit more impact from a purely photographic point of view. To me If you wanted a Logo image as a header for a photographic website it would be perfect.
Silhouetted shapes and a beautiful sunset - what more could we want.
Two excellent images I prefer V2 xx
Both beautiful Kate
Great sky Kate and actually yes I do like the letterbox format. Both are good.
I have to say Kate I love the panos for landscapes,,V 2 for me,,beautiful shot,
No graphics to be honest just experimentation,,all this has tobe fun or there is no point,,
A beautiful sunset Kate, the letterbox format in v2 worsk particularly well.
I like 16-9 so its V1 for me with better composition of the mountains.
Another lovely sunset. Well done Kate. WesternRed.
