It had been an icy morning wrapped in Fog . By the time we were on our way to Pamelas the heavy, icy fog had lifted some-what and a wide ribbon of icy mist hugged the fields and then I gasped because a watery sun came out and shone between the silhouettes of the trees. Of course there was no-where to stop and even so if I'd ventured out of the car onto that icy road I maybe would have slipped. So , I had to wait till we reached Pamelas and the orange glow as the sun set was all I was able to capture . Hope you like it xxx

What fabulous colour, Mavis! And I like the purity of the silhouette in V1, it works especially well in the cropped format.

Two beautiful captures. I think that although the first does not have the more intense, and therefore attractive colours of v2, it works the best. I really like the format here and there is a great sense of peace and calm about it

Like the simple but absolutely perfect framing, Mavis. Both beautiful images but has to be V1 for me too. The light, tones and silhouettes are so well balanced.

Love the crop in V1 - it creates the feel of the broad horizon. I think I want the stronger silhouettes of V1 too. Gorgeous presentation, the frame glows.

Can't imagine you'd have got anything better than these if you'd managed to get one earlier Mavis, both are just sublime, as Para Handy was wont to say!
