Sunday evening was looking really nice so I headed out with my camera. Not quite sure where I was going, I ended up on Stanton Moor. Somewhere I haven't been in a while. It was looking lovely with all the heather in flower. When I arrived the sky had really clouded over but luckily for me there was a band of clear sky just as the sun was dropping below the horizon, and just in time for this I came across these bolders to place in the foreground.

I've worked this as a mono too so I'm putting up both.

I'm going to have to find time to go back while the heather is out. Perhaps early morning light might be good!

Many thanks for looking,

Jude

They both look good to me, Jude, but the slight blue/purple in the clouds match the heather and contrast with the setting sun so well it has to be v1.

Both work for me Jude.
That was a great sunset capture - the starburst is magical.
