I have been without a camera for just less than two weeks after mine fell over into a pool at Robin Hood's bay Sad
I received a replacement yesterday, so went out last night after a very busy day and 10 to cook for at tea time. My daughter was washing my car, so I walked to the beach, passing through Saltburn on the way, when it started to rain, and the first of an amazing display of rainbows began! This is from the top before I got to the beach, when I thought it would be my only chance to capture it.

It ended up being a night of amazing conditions for photography, and I was exhausted by the end of it.

We're off to Devon for a week from tomorrow, so I won't even get to process any more until I come back, though then I will hopefully have plenty more very new material Smile

Brilliant! Don't often get the chance to see the full rainbow like that.

Great shot....Martin

S**t I've been down on Saltburn beach for dawn two mornings this week (including this morning) and haven't even got the camera out of the bag yet. I considered going out last night too but got tied up doing my tax return Sad Sad Sad

Beautiful moment you've captured here. Can't wait to see the rest of the set Smile

Hope the exhibition is going well too? I'll try and pop in and have a look over the next week or so...

Thanks everyone. Oh, Dennis, what a downer. So typical of landscape photography. There will most definitely be other special skies though. Smile

This is amazing - how did you manage to put in an order for this lovely rainbow, and the pink flowers in the foreground complete this super image.
Joan.

Still gutted! It was a stunning sunset here too but by the time I spotted what was happening it was too late to get anywhere Sad Fingers crossed for a repeat show tonight Smile

Well capture, talk about being in the right place at the right time. I'm the same as Dennis, seen what was happening but too late to get anywhere.

Ian.

Thank you all so much.
Derek, that's exactly how it was! Wink
Steve, you lazy bones! I won't do that sort of walking again very soon, though - I wore my waterproof sandals and my feet were bleeding by the end of the evening!!

Leigh, we see some great images here, but this is exceptional. I do hope it receives the many accolades it deserves, and wait in anticipation of your future uploads. Glad to hear that you are equipped again and have a great family holiday.

A cracker Leigh, but I can't help but notice the rain spot right below the rainbow. Otherwise, a beautiful composition, and the light goes without saying Smile

thats a cracker, i think the whole of the double rainbow would have been to much, this just fills all the space really well. look forward to seeing the rest. lesley
