Thank you and thank the Lord for continuous automatic focusing. The plane was approaching me at a phenomenal rate of knots.

This beast was the second of the two that took off - I missed the first completely, it was travelling so fast.

As an aside, if there's anybody out there aspiring to take a similar shot, you would be well advised to take some ear defenders with you - the noise will physically hurt your ears.
