I wouldn't be complaining about this shot if it was mine, it is a magic image, strong bold colour, reflective sun rays and surfers to offer scale and if that wasn't enough a bird got in on the act. I'd be very pleased if I was you.

A beautiful image and nothing wrong with the composition as far as I can see Geoffrey, as my wife said it could be anywhere in the World. As it happens my Uncle & Aunty had a guest house in Rest Bay, never seen Portcawl looking so good.

Best Matt

Thanks everyone, especially Matt for the Guest Editor's Award Smile
What I meant about the composition was that I was hoping to have just one surfer walk past or maybe if the group was a bit more spread out it would have been better.
It was taken with my camera in portrait position and is a full frame image and I didn't add any sharpening as there's nothing there that would benefit from it.

I'll be back there on Thursday on a camera club field trip so fingers crossed that there will be another lovely sunset.

That's a real stunner, Geoff. Light, compositional balance, tonal range, appealing colour - it's got the lot.
