Many thanks for your comments.
It wasn't too difficult to get the shot, there is a lot of fast water at the site, the surfers tack back and forth keeping station.
I watched the young man weave back and forth a few times and waited for his return pose, a great "S" shape, when he was as "stationary" as he could be.
The position within the frame is down to judicious cropping Wink
