Wanted to try this idea I saw in a book but somehow it isn't quite working. The feet seem a bit too featureless and just boring pink so the merge with the boots seem a bit contrived and unbelievable. If anyone has any suggestions on how to improve this I'd love to hear. Any mods of any style welcomed too. Thank you.

Good picture and processing work.
This image jumped out of the thumbnails and I reckon it's pretty good as it is. The nails being painted add to the story.
Maybe (and I'm not sure) the feet are too big for the boots.
Hope you get some advice from someone who does this type of work,
Good ones
Ian

I rather like this. You have done a pretty good job. All I think is missing is a bit of impact. It looks just a tiny bit flat. Try a contrast hike to give some impact. I've had a go at a mod. May, or may not work?

Paul

This is a very good effort. I would suggest move the feet back a little more into the boots (too big as Ian mentions); make the transition on the leather below the laces hard, so the feet disappear, but keep the soft transition on the sides, back to the heel. left lace, left foot nees a bit of work to look more reasl, - or, remove it so it appears to be under the foot.

Regards

Willie

If I have a criticism of what is a truly imaginative and original image, it is that the toenails could have been in a matching rusty red colour with the boots
