I just love the way that nature has such wondrous depth in both colour texture and form.
This image offers some glimpses as to why I love landscape photography so much. It presents the opportunity to witness the mixture of subtle light, numerous natural elements and time. I just love how light travels and distorts through countless natural elements and when you mix in the longer exposure, you begin to see things that the human eye cannot. Photography enables you to escape into an altered reality, where form, texture, movement combine to allow an altered view on our world. Yes it’s an escape! Why not live in a fantasy world, our world can be too insecure and there is congruence to this surreal world that the hard black and white of the general perception of reality doesn’t offer. A personal version of truth removed from boundaries.
