A shot from my first shoot with a model.
Lovely shot, I,m not qualified to criticise but I think you could improve the image by cloning out the bright patch above the models head and the flower at the side, still a great image all the same,
Beautiful model & the skin tones are great. Lovely portrait.
Hi there Andy. Nice natural portrait. There's also a fern or green leaf in the foreground on the right. Nice bright light giving the top of her hair a glow, but the downside to that light are the shadows on her face...maybe a reflector could have helped with that? But nice shot...well done.
This is a good starting point, and you have managed to get quite a good exposure in what is high contrast lighting, bright but overcast would have given you much better and friendlier lighting.
In this situation I would have shot in open shade to reduce the contrast between the skin highlights and the shadow, your models eyes are in danger of disappearing into deep shadow. If you had no choice but to use this position and lighting, the image might have benefited from the use of a reflector or fill in flash, just to lift your models eyes from the shadows.
