This works, I'm glad you uploaded it. There's a better sense of the wan sun on the slope, and the sheep have better presence than in your b&w upload.

Tried a mod, see what you think.

Its a very nice scene in either mono or colour.

It lacks some "punch" for me; though it is set to +1, it doesnt look like its actually +1, and when the land is a little brighter, with some linear contrast it may look better.
