I disturbed this cutting my garden hedge yesterday.
A most impressive Moth, wonderfully captured, but I can't help wondering about its position within the frame. It does rather look like a Cut & Paste image somewhat.
Great capture love the exposure and light that set him off so well.
Lovely image of this gorgeous Moth,
Had one in my garden too Alan, they are almost ghostly. Excellent detail.
Great shot, Alan.
Great detail and colour in this fine image!!
An Absolute cracker....

You're right, I was drying to tone down the BG, but the leaf the moth is resting on is only small and not visible at all in the shot. I had the choice of a distracting BG or the look of a cut and paste shot and chose the latter,
What a beauty and on the doorstep too
As moths go, this one is exceptionally beautiful--- a brilliant capture!
excellent capture- lovely subdued colours in a first class composition.
This is a cracking image so well captured
It's a super natural science image - wonderful shot.
Never seen one of these before, Alan, what a super capture. Carol
Right on the button with this one Alan. Brilliant shot
Great use of DOF Alan, maybe could do with a bit more detail, LOL. Cracking shot.
