Nothing new to upload so been searching through my archives again and found this cute little corrugated iron church in Sutherland that I'm pretty sure I didn't upload at the time. This was taken in August 2008 with my last camera, a Canon 400D.

V2 is a mono version and V3 a colour popped mono version.

Many thanks for your votes and comments on my recent uploads. They really are much appreciated.

V1 for me too Sue, a very unusual old building, and built when the was a shortage of materials I would say. But no shortage of interest here, a lovely image.

Definite V1. I can see what you are trying to achieve with V3 but the reds are so prominent in the colour version that you dont need it on this particular shot IMOWink

Great shot..

What a quaint little church Sue; can't hold very many people!
#1 for me with that lovely stormy quality to the light fitting with the sky

I really like V2 Sue. I wonder if V3 would work better and perhaps focus on the poignancy of the wreath if just it was in red rather than the roof as well.

What a charming wee Church, completely clad in corrugated iron sheeting. Of the three versions, My favourite is your V 1, Sue.

Has to be V1 for me, I like the red of the roof echoed in the building in the background. - gary

I like this Sue - it says as much about the community as it does about the building.

What a super little church, and in a very nicely composed and captured scene, Sue Smile And blessed with lovely light & dramatic sky, too. As you may know, I do like colour popped images (watch for my upload of one tomorrow!), but do really like the coloured V1, though V3 comes a very close second!
Yes, you're right, l am due another holiday! I'm returning to Venice on the 28th for a few days, for the Carnival, and will be meeting up with Lillian and her friend who'll be there that week Smile

I see Malc has pinpointed the church, passed it when I was up in Tongue last year. Just as you come down off the flow country as I recall. The light works well for you Sue, I'm staying with V1 which captures the area so well.
