I just got back from Redcliffe in Queensland. There is a long road bridge called the Houghton Highway linking Redcliffe with Brisbane There one can see pelicans perching on the street lights much as gulls do here in the UK. To a pom they look quite startling, but to the Aussies the are, of course, an everyday sight.
Thanks for a nice reminder of my trip.
Pelicans are also wonderful to photograph as they dive for fish. Great photo! I had a bird take off photo on water yesterday as well.
