As I mentioned yesterday, the first time that I saw these I innocently believed that I was the first photographer ever to spot their potential. I have since then watched so many others do the same.
Thanks for looking,
Moira

Great mono, love the webs on the handle, well captured.
Mary
Thanks folks. Nezih, the light was wonderful, I haven't had anything as good on subsequent visits!
Moira
There's now't new under the Sun, just the Sun itself is rarely seen to cast some light upon the land.

One of those images whewre you can smell the atmosphere.

Thanks again folks. I have been busy photographing Daffy Duck sniffing flowers. That will appear on Sunday, I think...
The light was special that day. But the cobwebs get better with every visit!

Light, shapes, textures - I would dearly have liked to be there to photograph this.
When I saw the image I also wished I could get out my oils and paint it - fine edges of strong highlights, reflected cool light on the shadow side - you know what I'm saying ![]()
Those webs catching the light make it extra special - not of a place others have come to photograph, but a found still life in an abandoned place, where the sun shines in through a window catching the dust motes in it's rays.

I really like the dof here Moira and the splendid detail of those spider threads ![]()

I like the way you captured the cobweb and managed a little beam of light at the same time
Lovely subject matter Moira, great Mono. Can't help thinking, someone has to take the Can back for this one ![]()

Lovely tones well spotted and presented . it's time that forgot with cobwebs and dust.

Cobwebs aside for a moment, this photo takes me back a bit.
This is the sort of can (but larger) i had to take to the local bicycle shop about fifty years ago for our 'Aladdin'paraffin heater.
Five gallons, and it cost less than a pound.
Regards Justwilliam
My grandfather kept a cycle shop in the 1950s. Good memories...

Nice still life. I like the composition and the light. It also reminds me a lot of the still life settings an art teacher would make his students draw... This would convert very well into charcoal. ![]()
