Thanks early birds. Rod, the composition was very carefully considered, for the lines that I wanted to include and the distractions that I wanted to exclude. And I have been working very hard on my b&w, thanks for noticing!

Wonderful low key mono, the writings on the tankards with the light make a beautiful contrast and I love the inclusion of the inscription on the top box, Moira. A great compo!

What wonderfully shaped containers. I'm sure you must have mentioned it before, but I'm wondering what was stored in them.

I wonder what they carried inside.

Well, I see that i am not the only one who does not know what these things are

that aside, the conversion is particularly well odne, strong blacks accented by the bright highlights--- makes a good pic. even with out knowing what it is about!

I'm not sure what they are either Jenn - but I do know that they're wonderful paraphernalia which make up our old train system and therefore to be admired and loved! SmileSmileSmile

As far as I am aware they are milk churns, and would be marked with the name of the station to which they were regularly delivered.
They are painted green, I found them much more attractive in b&w.
Cheers everyone,
Moira
