A Topaz painted version of Tarbet on the west shore of Loch Lomond.
I'll upload the actual photo also taken while we were en route to Glencoe
in autumn. There are several cruise ships here which do a roaring trade
taking tourists to local beauty spots.
Glad you all seemed to like my Mint in a Vase - thank you for kind comments.

Nice one Kate, a capture with impact with the light on the water and the boat.

So far the majority seem to be going for V.2, Kate, as I am. A serene and beautiful image, very well captured. Carol

It's an interesting effect, and impressionist watercolour springs to mind with the sky, great experiment, but I think I'm with the majority and its v2 for me too Kate

I think I'd like version one and a half - the one half way between the two. (Trust me, I tried it)!

Beautiful light and a well-placed boat, Kate. v2 as a preference but I like what you have done in v1.

The light and composition in V2 makes for a fantastic image Kate. Vi has a lovely watercolour effect in the sky which I find appealing. Both are really good and my choice would be V1 for effect

I enjoyed the previous upload and like this watercolour effect. However, in this case I think there is a bit too much of it in the sky which is nudging me towards V2.

When you start with a beautiful photo it's hard to miss. I like them both and think you did a good job with the Topaz. I would tone down the sky a bit, though.

The original image is simply stunning, whilst your manipulated version is open to further discussion.
