This poor battered thing arrived in our garden yesterday and spent a good while flying around then returning to its perch.
The light was pretty dreadful with strong, contrasty light coming in from top left so I experimented with fill-in flash to bring out more detail.
I also experimented shooting with both my 70-200 (at 200mm, f8, 1/250th) and tamron 90 (f13, 1/250th) and have put both images up here as variants.
This was one patient Dragon - I nearly had its head inside the tube of my Tamron at one point.
Not one of my better dragon shots but I thought it was worth sharing the results on my experimentation.
