I took this shot just as he wiped away a small tear as he remembers old friends.

I've commented several times that I'm not generally drawn to portraiture but a few images capture so much that they grab my attention and interest - this is one of them. What a powerful statement this image makes. I'm genuinely glad you caught this before all the WWII veterans are gone. Very powerful and nicely captured.
