This started out as a 38 image panoramic stitch covering all angles, taken from closer to the Lovell Telescope than my previous panorama upload. I've then used the 'Rectangular to Polar' distortion to wrap it into this spherical view and tweaked the levels, sharpening etc in PSP X.

By chance a plane was flying by from Manchester airport and it has managed to feature in four of the frames.

Frames were 1/100s f/10 ISO 100

Very clever image, looks like it should feature on an album cover by The yes or Budgie.
Well done .

Different and that's (almost!) always good. This is an amazing view Anthony and suits the subject so well.
Brilliant work, one of the best images I've seen in while.

Cheers all for the comments, I'm having fun trying things out with the 'Panosaurus' panoramic tripod head.

Wonderful. A very amusing image. It looks like some of the little worlds in Ratcet & Clank.
