Having been up a tree for the last shot of St Botolph's, back down to earth for this one.

Iso 200, 63mm, 1/100, f14. I took several frames at different settings to get the right amount of 'de-focus' on the church. The wider apertures were too far out of when focussing at this relatively close distance on the flowers.

Cropped and sharpened. Colour as is.

Many thanks for looking and for your comments on the last, and especially to Ann, Mark and Carole for their UAs.

Dave

Beautiful, I've tried doing this sort of shot, I appreciate this. It works because the sharp foreground rape crosses the horizon and reached right up into the sky, above the church; bringing the whole composition together.

You've chosen a very good place to take this, as the foreground plants seem to be the only ones of this height right up to the church. The sharp foreground detail makes those flowers appear like a screen through which we see the field and church. Instead of just a mass of yellow there is some really intricate green detail
