Bit of a fun shot taken at nash point this week. I was trying to photograph the stunning landscape at the HC when my eye caught this on the horizon. I quickly zoomed my new Sigma 18-200 out and crabbbed this !
A bit overcooked I know but thought I'd share it.

I would love to see a slightly toned down version cause for me this has gone a tad too far (I also don't think the heavy presentation/caption helps the image - I mean you get to do an intro and any background notes anyway). And the horizing could do with a tweak to straighten it.
Having said this the image demands to be looked at from the thumbnail (well it did to me anyway) and it is exciting and full of interest - the fairway bouy and the barely recognisable coaster underway are quite brilliant indeed all the components are - the sea is fantastic and the sky sure overblown but quite amazing.
I will be interested to see how you get on with this - but I really think there is something quite special here with a little tinkering.
Best wishes
Robert

Superb image and that sky is magnificent. Part of that sky is burnt out to pure white and needs toning down somewhat. When I get areas like that on my pics I sometimes find that the only thing to do is to clone in the area from another bit of the sky using a low opacity brush. The problem is not an insoluble one and does not detract from the fact that it is a cracking image
Love that dramatic sky Gary and you have done some fine manipulation work to this.
Tom.
well caught and very moody i thought, I dont have a problem with the burnt out bit it adds to the image for me.
