I assume you painted him 1st and later in the same exposure he painted you, but what do i know Brilliant image whatever the case.

with the exposures you use ,i think the same as Dave Holdham.are you saying you actually are both standing there at the same time,Timer on light source ,if not, a number of ways in PS to stick either one of you there.hope you had fun however achieved.

Hold that pose!
My guess for what it's worth, For the light painting bit torch the structure using a red gel, assume the position, long exposure & delayed flash multiple exposures for the night sky & stacked.
good to see your shots again.
It has made me feel a bit guilty now.
