Another shot of this oft photographed tree at Milarrochy Bay on Loch Lomond but given a slightly different treatment.

My thanks to all who commented on my last posting......."Why Do I Get That Sinking Feeling?"

Ronnie.

(PS. I have put it's position on the map within about 3 to 4 metres of accuracy........R)

Picked this out from Gallery as an image I liked not knowing it was yours.
I love the shape of the tree and it stands proudly against your sepia b/g.
An image with impact!

A classic 'lone tree' image and perfectly composed. Sepia makes it permanent in bronze. TG

Isn't it incredible where a tree will grow. Then you plant one in your yard and it can die. Makes no sense. Lovely processing here Ronnie............Sandy

"within 3 to 4 metres accuracy" GrinGrin love the comment.

Excellent composition as always, Ronnie, and it works well in the square format. The toning looks particularly good on the sky/clouds and far hills, and the darkness of the silhouette pulls the tree forward to give a lovely depth to the image. And a mention for the sailing boats - very small but give some important detail on the right of the image. Top work again.

Your photography is somewhat like mine in many ways Ronnie. As the saying goes in the brilliant and highly amusing film, 'Forrest Gump' "Life is like a box of chocolates, you just don't know what your are going to get" Each day is like turning over a page in compilation of the finest photographs, looking in wonder, and being enthused and driven into capturing that image that may or may never come along. Fortunately for you my friend you have a whole heap of them.

Regards Nathan
