This windmill is near the church on the outskirts of the small town of Thaxted in Essex. TWO versions one in colour and one in black 'n white. I wonder which works best for you?
Colour verison for me just Albert. like the light and your comp with this
Super composition Albert, V1 favoured,
Colour for me as well, Albert, the lovely warmth in the light is lost in mono.
Like them both but I would edge for the mono
Colour works best for me, Albert, but I think the horizon needs a tad straightening. Carol
I love the B/W
Colour for me too Albert - lovely to see the first signs of next year's corn peeping through
A beautiful capture, and that sky, stunning.
Colour for me....the world is in colour...............love the composition and the light is superb............
You would probably guess Albert,
that it is the colour for me !!
definitely the rusty colour for me, too!
Colour for me.
Colour without a doubt Albert and its a cracking image.
Very difficult to make my choice Albert, but I'm edging towards the colour version. Great composition.
No real decision for me - colour wins, hands down! Composition is excellent. Love the swirl of the lines in the field and the lovely sky.
Works both ways, but the warmth in v1 edges out the mono this time.
Excellent, I do favour the mono version.
great image ... going for mono with a vote
Luv both versions, superb composition, a great capture.
Love both like the tones in the B&W Albert, a very nice photo, regards Leon.
Like them both verry much but I go for the colour
Nice subject and scenery, I like the lines on the land there... IB
slightly prefer colour here...
Many thanks to everyone who have looked, voted and commented. In particular a big thank you to Julia (NaturesHaven) for her User Award.
Both good but prefer the color version. A
The colour version works best for me, a fine composition
A delightful scene Albert. I never tire of windmill shots. The colour version just
"shades" it for me.
