The hours were breathing so well in frozen , altered states. That was a lovely phase.

But they found the pulse and even here in isolation, they have me ......trapped.

I cant do that , not even here. I wont say a word Jack , I saw to that.

I cant call anymore , follow me.

The main portrait study and texturing are superb Dave ... up with the very best of your work. I'd personally lose the monster chappy in the background, drop in something nicely textured and win an EC. Can't stop looking at that girl ... you've captured something quite haunting in her expression.

Another great image. Intriguing background. Lovely portrait, even without the manipulations.

The portrait itself is wonderful, and the image as a whole works very effectively. I like how the textured layers seem to reflect the 'layers' in the portrait itself - so much can be read into the model's expression. I agree with Dave that you've caught a very haunting expression here. Would it be an idea to upload the original portrait in the variants for comparison? Great work.
Geraint

Wow, Dave - this is so tragically beautiful. The layers say so much - I'm stuck for words to articulate. So you will ahve to make do with a 'click' of total awe... Wink

wow thanks , i just got in , i thought youd all hate its dark interpretation and wuss out , but in her eyes i knew it needed location , its a look of impending i was trying to get (after 20 bloody attempts lol)

Quite right about the background , and i have a few variants , the original , pretty , a heavy Backbeat (Phil) or Kitsch (Jo) mood that look stunning , but , im sticking to my concept , the "monster chappy" is an elder , to question Jacks whereabouts......

erm ,

i must be sober lol

Oh wow Dave, that's a hell of a haunting image, indeed. The one I'll be coming back to, that's for sure. Splendid portrait, great layers and textures, brilliant processing and story behind. Beautiful and intriguing piece, this one.
There is incredible strength in these eyes, Jack can stay safe, no doubts.

Oh, by the way, did you know this, the very first work of yours I ever saw on this site, it was her portrait, I can still remember this, she certainly has that not_to_be_forgotten look!
