A banjo player in a New Orleans jazz band, taken on Charles Bridge, Prague.

Correction - this wasn't taken with the Sigma, but with my Canon 50mm f1.4 at f2 and 1/8000 sec. Hence the narrow DOF.

Camera:Canon EOS 20D
Lens:sigma 18-125mm

Thanks, Ann. I've been a fan of Dixieland for about 50 years! Smile

It is such a simple photo, yet the quality is just perfect. You have this way of shooting lots of different subject and they all turn out so well. If I see anything out of place I'll mention it because I really want to give a good critique rather than just applause, but it is hard to spot anything!

I've just found this photo and I love it - I know this band well and the banjo player is very difficult to capture because of his trade-mark cap. Congratulations, this is way better than I've ever managed of him!
