A set of images all taken on the Monday before last at the top of the Cotswold escarpment close to where I live when there was over a foot of snow on the ground. There was thick fog in the air and a hard frost on the trees and bushes when I was there and the temperature remained at about -4 degrees.

V1 - The remote country road between Aggs Hill and Cleeve Common where the previous two uploads were taken
V2 Sheep in a field at the top of Aggs Hill
V3 - Another shot further along the same stretch of road between Aggs Hill and Cleeve Common
V4 - A small wood that divides the two main areas of Prestbury Hill Nature Reserve which is managed by Butterfly Conservation
V5 - One of the entrances to Prestbury Hill nature reserve which is where most of my butterfly images are taken. No doubt epzers Looloobey and Tomcat will recognise this location, although it will look very different from when when they visited back in the summer!
V6 - The cross roads between Whittington, Aggs Hill and Cleeve Common
V7 - A public footpath at the summit of Aggs Hill reloaded in b&w
V8 - Lynne Joyce's excellent mod she did for me a few days ago, this is the two trees in the field that leads to the summit of Aggs Hill which was uploaded at the weekend

Many thanks to Kate epzer "IrishKate", for the user award on yesterdays upload, it is greatly appreciated, I hope you all enjoy this set as much, Ed

The monochrome processing certainly brings out the very best in this superb set of wintery images Ed. For me image number three is simply sublime.

So difficult to choose a favourite from tis excellent set, Ed, there being so many that could vie for the V 1 slot, but V 6 might come close.
Ronnie.

Love them all and they all have different merits. I love the mistiness of V3 but 4 & 7 are my favourites as the stiles seem to be inviting us into the picture.

Classic scenes of cold, cold, cold. V3 is wonderfully atmospheric: I'm surprised the shutter didn't freeze up there and then!

My favourites are exactly the same as Lynne's V3 for those wonderful trees and misty look
and V4 and V7 for those rustic styles.
Just loving your winter snow scenes.
