Richard Mossy Oak uploaded an excellent shot of the moon last year. I was amazed how good it was and thought i had to improve my technique. Well a D800 shines with the hight resolution, suppose a d7100 (TONY!!!! a challenge for you ) would do even better.
so here it is, I wrote the data in the exif . my old TC300 was used (the 2x converter meant for the Nikkor 500mm MF and the 300 2.8) the new tc20b is USELESS!
f11 is not fantastic nor is the d800 viewfinder so here is the cheat: I focussed on the d3x, locked the lens( first time I used this seldom remembered knob) and swapped it over. Good job the lens can stay on the tripod i only swapped the camera.
