A postscript to my River Wye series. As I mentioned previously, after taking my dog for a walk I called in at a public house to slake my thirst, I had decided to sit on the outside patio, as it was a lovely day. When Tammy and I went onto the patio we heard some 'woofing' coming from the backdoor of the pub. Tammy answered in a like tone, and the commotion soon settled down after both dogs had said all that they had to say.
I had noticed that the noise had been made by the dog in the picure, who, after making his presence felt had gone to sleep on the step. So as I never get a good picture of Tammy, who is a very bad model, who thinks, that when I have the camera in my hand it is the signal to move around rapidly or look the other way, I thought that this may be the time to get a dog portrait. As I approached him he opened one eye and looked at me. I think that he must have noticed the camera because he immediately sat up and posed, then after I had taken a couple of shots, he went back to sleep.
I don't know whether it's my imagination, but I think that the eyes, in the picture, follow you around.
I hope you enjoy this picture, and thanks for looking, and for all of your previous clicks and comments.
Brian

I have read carefully your description, then looked again at Tammy and found both a shot and a description very interesting.
Thak you for your very encouraging message-comment and please, drop in again at least for a short notice. I promise to answer back![]()

Love, Carol xx
Cracking expression - and you're right the eyes do follow you around (I checked by walking away from the screen LOL) All the best. Bruce
What a character and a poser, love the expression.
Oh he;s pointing that thing at me again is he , humph , il just give him my sternest look then ,........Great pic , Riff
What a handsome bulldog you have there. Almost looks like my sister's English Bulldog "Fergus"!
I love the expression of his eyes. It's as if he's resigned to the fact that you're going to take his picture. Regarding the eyes, they do seem to follow you around--it's not your imagination!
